Welcome to The Situation Project, a 501(c)3 corporation. Our efforts focus on providing experiences to communities that lack access to cultural opportunities and live events. We believe that experiencing a live event has an unique and powerful impact, and that these moments add to the cultural capital of the students in these communities.

We do this by working with schools, community-based organizations, local governments and the community-at-large to bring exposure and awareness to students and individuals by providing access to cultural experiences such as theater, dance, music, film, and visual art.

Every year we work with producers and the Broadway Community to send high-performing students in under-served districts to Broadway Shows. The Situation Project currently supports three schools: MS 343, MS 319 and MS 223. As we move forward we are building partnerships to extend our reach beyond Broadway in hopes of including other forms of art and live experiences such as dance, music, film and visual arts.

In tandem to bringing students to Broadway productions, we also make efforts to provide opportunities for students to engage with Broadway professionals through school visits and talk-backs.

Through our efforts we've realized that it's not only our students who deserve these experiences, and that the staff, faculty and administrators also benefit from experiencing live events. Our newest initiatives focus on bringing experiences to educators through artist engagement and access to Broadway shows.
